Circus Freaks From Back Then

These photos are of some of the most famous circus freaks from the past. Although freak shows would be scorned today, they were a way for people who otherwise had no source of income to make a living. Some even got wealthy doing it.

I met my second husband at what would be considered a freak show at the State fair of Texas. He was a little person and was very special to me. It is very sad that a persons body can become a prison to them like that. These people are all just like anybody else and we all need love. What a cruel world we live in. :(
